1st Day in Sydney:-1100 - Reach Sydney Domestic Airport and collect lugguage.
went to the train station in the airport to buy Green 7 Day weekly ticket for AU$41 (allows you to take the all the ferries, train and buses except monorail and jetcats) and it covers only the green and red zones. quite worth the price cause it allows us to hop on the ferries which cost aboutAU$6 per ride and we took the ferries like nobody's biz. hop on and off. =)
if you are staying near the central railway station, it will be better if you buy the train tickets to the central station for both ways as it will be cheaper but me and kerxin chose KST airport shuttle cause our hotel is not right in front of the railway station and we have to walk so in the end we took that and paid AU$20 for both ways and it send us right to the hotel doorstep.
We stayed at Sydney Central on Wentworth Budget Hotel. the room wasnt that bad just that there isn't any heater so it's kinda cold but they gave us extra blanket. their service is good too.
we paid AU$70 per night for a 2 bed room which is $2 more that those backpackers which you will have to share a 4 bed room. so that's why we didn't move even though there isn't any heater cause can have our own privacy.

once we settle down, we went to Spice I am for lunch! Ronny recommend that as it's nice and alot of people recommend it. moreover it's right opposite our hotel!
The food is cheaper during the lunch hours, cost us $10.90 each for our own lunch. During dinner hours, it's $14.90-$17.90 and pls do make a reservation or go early if you wanna have dinner. it's right opposite to our hotel at wentworth ave so we always saw that it's packed.
I had Crispy pork belly while Kerxin had Pak Thai King with chicken.

after that we went to Bondi Junction to shop before heading to Hurricane at Bondi Beach for dinner.
Dinner at Bondi Beach was great! we ordered garlic bread and full rack ribs!
the garlic bread is soft, hot and nice! while the ribs was really very juicy, tender and sweet! it's the best ribs i ever had! the garlic bread cost $4.50 and the ribs $30. but they give free brown bread which we didn't know that it doesn't include garlic bread. remember only brown bread hor!
we were really full after taking half a rack of the ribs....kinda regretted on taking the full rack but we managed to finish it though...pls take the half rack if 2 girls are sharing! half rack cost $24.
and do remember to call to make a reservation first before you head down as their place is always full on weekends. we went on a thursday and still have trouble getting the timeslot we want. they offered us 6:30pm for the dinner and to leave by 8pm...in the end, we still took the timeslot as it's better than nothing and it was totally worth the trip!
after we left, we still see alot of people waiting outside to get a seat inside to eat...so you see how great it is! their ribs is a MUST TRY!
we took 380 from Bondi Junction Interchange to reach to that place. if you don't know how to get there, ask the driver on how to get to the Bondi Beach.

2nd Day in Sydney: -Woke up early to head to Hyde Park then Sydney Aquarium as kerxin wanted to go.
There's a fountain in Hyde park that was very nice and roman style and along the way you will see the Anzac Memorial as well as the St Mary Cathedral, Museum...so it's a very long walk for us!

I like their park! very nice walk down if you are there with your SO.
on the previous night, we booked the sydney aquarium tickets online...
they offered a 10% discount if you booked the tickets online using a credit card.
students pay $17.10 only and pls bring your student card along.
there wasn't anything special just that some of the fishes were different from those we see in the underwater world.
after that we took the ferry from sydney aquarium to McMasons point to see the Sydney Opera House under the Sydney Harbour Bridge!
pretty!
the hotel duty manager told us that we can actually walk from the McMasons point to Millsons point but we didn't cause it's bloody far can!
so we waited for the next ferry (30 mins later) and get to Millsons point to take the walk from one end of the sydney harbour bridge to the other end.
remember to take the walkway from your left cause i heard if you took the wrong walkway...you will have to head back and take the correct walkway again irregardless on where you are (halfway through or not).
and do take the walk before 5pm as the duty manager told us that it's closed after 5pm so we took the walk around 4pm and managed to see the sunset as well!
Once we completed our walk, we navigate our way to find Pancake on the rocks for dinner.
the food ain't that bad...just that we ordered pancakes while there are others to choose from as well....
we should have taken Casear Salad...Pancake on the rocks is 24 hours open so you can go as and when as you like.
just that it's abit hard to find.
and do make a reservation as well if you are going at a later time...we had dinner at around 5+pm so we didn't call for reservation.

3rd Day in Sydney:Today's the day to Blue Mountain!
the weather was great with sunny skies! moreover there's a magic winter festival up there so we decided to head down on saturday and miss out the padington's market.
i was telling kerxin that the market is always there all year round but the festival is only once a year so we chose to go to the festival instead.
we bought the Cityrail tickets for both ways with the Hop on and off explorer bus tickets for AU$42.20+.
you can get it in the central railway station and the journey for each way is 2 hours so better check the timetable for the train on the previous day before you head out.
In the train on the way to Blue Mountain

and do bring some food along cause we want to save money so we brought muffins and biscuits along.
at some places you will not see any place selling food so the best thing is to bring some yourself.
we reach Katoomba at around 945am and went to register with the counter (once you exit from the station, turn right and the counter/center is right in front, next to a coffee shop) to change your hop on and off tickets to a tourist guide book that is also your ticket.
pls do get the cityrail tickets together cause the hop on and off tickets will cost AU$26 if you buy them together. if you buy it once you reach Katoomba, then it will cost AU$32.
we walked around the Magic Winter Festival before heading off to the blue mountains.
The Magic Winter Festival is really very fun!
you will see alot of people dressing up as pirates, witches and a whole lot.
I bought a unicorn necklace there for AU$10. quite special so bought it though ex.
we didn't manage to cover all the festival booths as we still wanna take the walk down the blue mountain.
when you see the photos, you will know why we didn't have time to cover all the booths cause it's a long stretch all the way down!
the only regret is that we didn't get to see the festival parade.
but we managed to get a short peek on the rehersal in one of the hotels.
Blue Mountain Magic Winter Festival

we took the scenic rides that cost AU$25 for a cableway, railway and skyway ride.
we took the skyway first to get to the other side of the mountains then the railway which is very fast down (very fun!) followed by a walk around the forest to get to the cableway to get back to the same point.
Blue Mountain Scenic Rides

but when we are done with everything, we realised that the bus drivers are on lunch breaks so there isn't any bus to our next destination.
therefore we walk lor...we didn't expect that walk to be that long...haha...
long but worth it and tired as well....
kinda reminds me of climbing Mt Kinabalu.
the shoes we wore weren't even fit for taking the bushwalk.
but then we still made it...
the ladies that gave us direction told us that we will take 45 minutes to reach to the 3 sisters but we took close to 1hr 15 minutes!
haha....
don't know if it's because we keep stopping in between to take pics or because it's kinda hard to walk with our shoes?
not to mention the pavement isn't really that nice to walk with all the puddles of water, soil and mud.
again...for the sake of the scenery, it was all worth it.
we kept saying this when we are in sydney.
translated from chinese: since we are here already, might as well try/go.
=)
that was what kept us going until the very last day that out legs are broken with muscle aches and veins all coming out.
haha...
